World Cup of Rugby Fixtures in Christchurch
Christchurch will play host to seven matches in 2011's Rugby Union World Cup tournament. The completion of its new stand, the Robbie Deans Stand (named for a successful and popular Crusaders rugby coach), makes Christchurch's stadium the second largest in the country. During the World Cup of Rugby tournament, the stadium's capacity will be maxed out at nearly 45,000.
