Wildlife Reserves in Christchurch

For a relatively small city on a world scale, Christchurch does extremely well in promoting and protecting endangered species in its two wildlife reserves, Willowbank Wildlife Reserve and Orana Wildlife Park. Visitors to these wonderful parks can see kiwi, tuatara, kaka, kea and the very rare takahe, plus enjoy hand-feeding giraffes, meeting rhinoceros face to face and an awe-inspiring Lion Encounter Ride.
